Blue Wing Studios began in 2005 by Josiah Thiesen with the simple goal, of providing high-quality video products from inception to delivery. Nearly 20 years later, that goal has been realized across mediums, artistic expressions, and continents. With award-winning documentaries and animated e-books, commercials, and feature films.
Now based in beautiful Celina Texas, just north of Dallas, we are loving our thriving community and the opportunity for new stories ahead. We are not simply tied to one location. We’ve traveled across this country and globe when the projects are right. We’ve shot documetaries in Egypt and Uganda, helped cut trailers for films in Hawaii, edited films in California and worked with dozens of animators and artist in Mexico. So yeah, we are not afraid of packing gear and getting on a flight.
We’ve also been around for a bit, and seen our industry change a fair bit too. Moving from DV to now shooting on Red Cinema 6K camera, editing in Final Cut Pro, then Avid, then Premiere and now Davinci Resolve, as well as doing motion graphics in Apple Motion, After Effects, Cinema 4D and Blender… my point is, we have the experience and expertise to get your project done, using the best tools for the job.
