Some stories simply need to be sped up. It’s for that reason we are equipped with multiple DSLR cameras, weatherproof housings for long-term timelapses that we’ve shot construction with, as well as a 3-axis motion-controlled timelapse for pan, tilt, and slide control. We’ve been editing for more than 20 years, starting with S-VHS, and now work nearly exclusively with 6K Raw. Editing is far more than slapping clips on a timeline… There’s a rhythm, a flow, and there’s always a story to be told. So whether it’s a feature film like PREY or a highlight video for the Dave Koz Cruise, we take joy in finding the story, hitting the beats, and slipping shots until the flow is just right.

When images need a little boost to get the point across, or it’s hard to cast vision for a new multi-use project in development… motion graphics come to the rescue. We’ve always been drawn to the marriage of good design and film, and using animation, titles, graphics, and 3D buildouts, to make a vision come to life and communicate a point properly. The final step of any good project is coloring. Taking already great footage and adding a little more polish, giving a unique look to the film, and accenting what the DP has created to take the project over the goal line before it gets published. We’ve been the colorist on a few documentaries and films and this step is what truly gives a project that last little bit of polish it needs to stand out.
